Milk or Lemon Water (for soaking)
Instructions
-
Preparing the Shark Steak: Rinse the shark steaks under cold water and pat dry.

Soak: Soak in a bowl of milk or lemon water for 30 minutes to neutralize any ammonia smell. This is a crucial step!
-
Pat Dry: Pat the shark steaks dry again before seasoning.
-
Marinating: In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and thyme.
-
Coat & Marinate: Coat the shark steaks evenly with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 20 minutes (or up to 2 hours for a deeper flavor infusion).
-
Cooking Method (Choose One):
-
Grilling:
-
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
-
Place the shark steaks on the grill and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes per side.

-
-
Pan-Searing:
-
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Sear the shark steaks for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown.
-
Flip and cook for another 3 minutes.
-
Add butter, spoon it over the steaks, and remove from heat.
-
-
Baking:
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Place the shark steaks on a baking sheet.
